Rachel was born in Hamilton, Ohio where she grew up in a very musical and creative family. Rachel began painting and crafting and singing and dancing at a young age: always in search of a way to express herself or tell a story. Rachel sang before she could talk, took up the oboe at the age of 10, began playing guitar and singing with her family at the age of 11 and never looked back; adding songwriting, piano, accordion, dance, flag twirling, and yoga-ing and floral design to her list of activities.
Rachel went to Baldwin-Wallace University, a program headed by Victoria Bussert. The program's emphasis on professional connection meant that Rachel had the opportunity to spend four years learning from and cultivating relationships with industry professionals such as casting directors, composers, music directors, and broadway actors
Comfortable in a Victorian-era corset and bustle, or jeans and a t-shirt with her guitar, Rachel thrives when nourishing her intense passion for creation and artistic collaboration. Breathing life into new works or conceptualized adaptations of classics is particularly interesting, as it is a chance to bring something completely new, exciting , and soulful into the world.
Rachel is currently living in NYC, singing soprano with, and serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors of The Stonewall Chorale, singing soprano at West End Collegiate Church, selling flowers, and petting as many dogs as possible.
“Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.” —Rumi
